UK Cabinet Minister Lidington: UK seeks deal with EU to minimize trade friction

UK Cabinet minister David Lidington, speaking to Radio 4 this Friday, was noted saying that no-deal Brexit is not a desirable objective and the UK seeks a deal with the EU to minimize trade friction.

It is worth recalling that the UK government has already started issuing technical notices to clearly set out the steps in the event of a no-deal Brexit and the first batch of such publications was released on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the GBP/USD pair was seen extending its steady climb from the 1.2800 handle and was placed at session tops during the early European session.
