German foreign minister Heiko Maas was out on the wires in the last hour, commenting on the recent hot topics – the US tariffs threat and Brexit.
On US tariffs:
“¢ Expects the US to revoke threatened tariffs.
“¢ Also expects the US to stop threatening the European auto industry.
“¢ Says China’s state capitalism is increasingly jeopardizing fair global trade.
On Brexit:
“¢ There must be no hard border with Ireland.
“¢ Must prepare for every possible scenario.
“¢ If can agree on the Irish border issue, then can also solve all other open questions.
