The EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier, addressing a joint press conference on Brexit in Brussels, said:
“¢ With no backstop on the Irish border, there’s no deal.
“¢ The operational backstop is a matter of some urgency.
“¢ We need more data and information on how backstop will work.
“¢ Future partnership with envisioned with the UK is unprecedented.
“¢ Believes it’s possible to reach a deal on an orderly withdrawal by October.
