According to reporting by South Korean media company Yonhap, North and South Korea are expected to hold discussions today focusing on connecting cross-border roads between the two countries.
As the two Koreas continue to experience a thaw after decades of a largely communication-less standoff, the two countries are set to hold working-level talks about connecting roads across their shared border, though international sanctions on North Korea make the move difficult, and the two parties are likely to focus on conducting joint studies on ‘relevant matters’ for now.
Next Tuesday, North and South are expected to again discuss border connections between them, though the focus will be on rail cooperation.
