Australian parliament adjourned until September 10

The Australian government has moved to adjourn parliament, a move which would allow its ruling Liberal party to hold a second leadership vote for prime minister Malcolm Turnbull.  

The political situation took turn for the worse earlier today after Turnbull lost the backing of  support of three key backers  “”  Mathias Cormann,  Mitch Fifield  and  Michaelia Cash  “” and in response, the senior ministers called for a second leadership contest.
