Turkish FinMin: Do not see big risk to economy – Hurriyet

Reuters was out with the comments from the Turkish Finance Minister Berat Albayrak reported in the Turkish daily newspaper, Hurriyet.

Albayrak noted: “We do not see a big risk about Turkey’s economy or financial system,” when asked about the biggest risk for 2019.

Separately, Reuters reported that the Turkish central bank doubled banks’ borrowing limits for overnight transactions at the interbank money market.

At the time of writing, the USD/TRY pair advances 0.65% to 6.2860, having posted daily tops at 6.3572 and lows at 6.2437.  The Turkish Lira remains offered amid a lack of progress between the US and Turkey over the Pastor row.
