German Consumer prices in August 2018 seen rising +2.0% y/y

“The inflation rate in Germany as measured by the consumer price index is expected to be 2.0% in August 2018,” showed the preliminary German CPI report released this Thursday by Destatis – the Federal Statistical Office of Germany.

Consumer price index, August 2018
   “¢   +2.0% on the same month a year earlier (provisional)
   “¢   +0.1% on the previous month (provisional)

Harmonised index of consumer prices, August 2018
   “¢   +1.9% on the same month a year earlier (provisional)
   “¢   ±0.0% on the previous month (provisional)

The final results for August 2018 will be released on 13 September 2018.
