While responding to questions from the MPs, Dominic Raab, British Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, said that a Canada-style free trade deal favoured by Tory Brexiters would be unacceptable, as seen on The Guardian’s live blog.
“Those advocating a Canada-style free trade deal have to explain why that would not lead to the Northern Ireland backstop arrangements staying in place for perpetuity,” Raab further stated.
