EUR/USD Technical Analysis: Strangling just above 1.1400

  • The EUR/USD is marking out territory near 1.1430 after slipping down from Wednesday’s peak at the 1.1500 major technical handle; Thursday’s early intraday action has priced in a soft floor near 1.1420 in the runup to the end-week.
  • EUR/USD analysis: retreats from 1.1500 but poised to keep advancing

  • Hourly candles have the Fiber making rough plays for higher ground, but bullish moves are getting rejected by stiff shortselling  from critical levels, and buyers will be hoping to keep the EUR/USD in play above the 200-hour moving average near 1.1390.

  • The past two months show the EUR/USD struggling to make a bullish recovery, clipping into lower lows following a decline from late September’s peak of 1.1815, and buyers are facing a rejection from the 200-period moving average, and the 50-period moving average is looking like thin support from 1.1415.
