According to a report published on the Financial Times, quoting diplomats briefed on the discussions, the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier told ministers from the EU’s remaining 27 member states that the main elements of an exit treaty text were ready to present to the UK cabinet on Tuesday.
The news prompted some short-covering move around the British Pound, helping the GBP/USD pair to rebound over 100-pips from the early European session low level of 1.2827.
