According to Politico, the UK PM Theresa May will meet the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker on Tuesday. May is said to be looking to seek legal assurance that there will be an end-date to the backstop.
Given that the EU has already made it clear that there won’t be any negotiation on the current Brexit agreement, the incoming headlines from the meeting might continue to infuse some heavy volatility across the GBP pairs.
