An index measuring China’s consumer confidence increased steadily in the fourth quarter of 2018, as the economy continued to see stable growth, according to the report by global measurement and data analytics company Nielsen.

Consumer trend index stood at 113 points in the fourth quarter, up one point from the previous quarter.
The sub-index for job prospects rose to 75 points from 70 points, and that for the willingness to spend went up three points to 60 points. The personal finance sub-index stood at 69, the same as the previous year.
