Adding to his earlier comments this Wednesday, the UK foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt said that March 29 is an important legally binding deadline for Brexit and extension does not solve the problem.

Changing the backstop is the only way through this situation. Confident that if we make simple changes to the backstop, we can see a way to get a parliamentary majority for Brexit agreement, he added further.
