China’s March trade balance (CNY): Surplus expands sharply amid exports jump

China’s trade balance for March, in Yuan terms, came in at CNY 220bn versus CNY 178.2bn expected and CNY 34.46bn last.

Exports came at +21.3% y/y vs. +14.8% expected and -16.6% last, while imports were -1.8% y/y vs. -9.6% expected and -0.3% last.
