The UK’s opposition Labour Party’s finance policy chief McDonnell crossed the wires in the last minutes saying that they have not seen a shift from Prime Minister Theresa May’s government in talks aimed at breaking the Brexit deadlock and repeated that the customs union was “absolutely” key for them.
McDonnell further stated they were worried that the future leader of the Conservative Party could overturn the deal that they might reach. “The government may have to accept there is a second Brexit referendum at some point.”
