ECB’s Praet: A protectionist spiral would be a disaster

The ECB’s outgoing chief economist Peter Praet – in an interview with Los Echos, said that a protectionist spiral would be a disaster.

I was hoping that when I leave the ECB, the rates would be higher, but we had all these geopolitical shocks, Praet added further.
