The Chinese Education Ministry confirmed the headlines tweeted by the Global Times last hour, issuing a warning on the risk of studying overseas after the US visa limits.

The move comes as the US is set to shorten the length of validity for some visas issued to Chinese citizens, escalating the US-China trade war.
