“We are seeing the initial trend that the increase in new coronavirus infections is flattening,” Germany’s Health Minister Jens Spahn said on Friday, per Reuters.
“We have already obtained 1500 new ventilators,” Spahn added and said these machines were expected to be in clinics by April. “There is real fighting between countries to get masks from china and that’s not a good development,” the minister further noted.
Market reaction
These comments were largely ignored by the market participants and Germany’s DAX 30 Index was last seen down 0.45% on a daily basis at 9,528 points.
