ECB’s Lagarde: Governing Council has never discussed the issue of helicopter money

The Governing Council has never discussed the issue of helicopter money, said the European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde on Wednesday.

She said that the primary market purchase of government debt would undermine sound budgetary policy requirement in the European Union (EU) treaty.
