According to the German disease and epidemic control center, Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose to 167,300, with a total of 7,266 deaths reported on Friday.
Cases increased by 1209 in Germany on Friday versus Thursday’s +1284. The death toll rose by 147, the tally showed.
Meanwhile, an estimated 141,700 people are reported to have recovered from the disease, the institute reported.
On Thursday, the RKI Vice President Lars Schaade noted, the second coronavirus wave possible before autumn, adding that it depends on people’s behavior.
