The latest data published by the state health department of Florida showed that the number of confirmed coronavirus infections in the state rose by 4.2%, or 6,093, on Tuesday.
This reading followed Monday’s increase of 3.7% and came in below the 7-day average of 5.5%.
On a monthly basis, COVID-19 cases in the state surged by 168% in June with the total reaching 152,434, as reported by Reuters.
