Liu Xiaoming, Chinese ambassador to the UK, said on Thursday that he regrets their relationship with the UK has run into a series of difficulties and added that the UK should take full responsibility for those difficulties.
“The UK has meddled in Hong Kong affairs and has undermined stability in Hong Kong,” Xiaoming added. “London has poisoned the relationship. Some British politicians clamour for a new cold war with China.”
Market reaction
