China’s April trade data (USD): Exports drop sharply, imports rebound

The China customs published  trade balance  for April in USD terms, reporting a smaller-than-expected increase in the trade surplus, as exports slump.

In USD terms,

Trade Balance (USD) Apr came in at +13.84B versus +32.67B previous.

Exports (YoY) Apr: -2.7% vs. +14.2% last.

 Imports (YoY) Apr: +4.0 vs. -7.6% last.
