EU’s Dombrovskis: Commission considering sanction procedure against Italy if budget does not change

European Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis was out on the wires in the last hour, saying that the Commission is considering sanction procedure against Italy if the budget does not change.

The shared currency reacted little to the latest headlines, with the EUR/USD pair holding comfortably above the 1.1400 handle.
