Graeme Whittington, who was a BlackBerry executive, will head OANDA Corporation’s new technology efforts. OANDA is one of the more innovative forex brokers.

LONDON – September 23, 2013 – OANDA Europe Limited, a subsidiary of OANDA Corporation, a global provider of innovative foreign exchange trading services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Graeme Whittington as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). A former BlackBerry executive, Mr. Whittington is responsible for leading the development and delivery of OANDA’s products and services.

Mr. Whittington joins OANDA from BlackBerry, where he held a variety of senior positions including roles in product management and software with a focus on infrastructure systems. He also brings with him global market experience, including work with telecom regulatory bodies, during his tenure with the Canadian-based mobile device maker. Prior to his role at BlackBerry, Mr. Whittington was part of IBM Canada’s consulting arm with a focus on business and information technology strategy.
