Commenting on the potential impact of Brexit in an interview with Bloomberg, “I think it will be net negative in all cases. The variability of net will depend on the brutality of the exit,” International Monetary Fund (IMF) Director Christine Lagarde said.
“In any circumstances, it will be more severe for the UK than it will be for the rest of the European Union. Within the European, you have a few countries that are more exposed than others such as Ireland, probably Belgium and Netherlands,” Lagarde further explained.
