A source who has been briefed on the latest arrangements told the South China Morning Post that “the trip could be delayed for a few days, with chief trade negotiator and Vice-Premier Liu He remaining for only a short time, or the trip could be cancelled in its entirety.
Earlier there were reports that the Chinese Vice Premier Liu cancelled his visit to Washington following the US President Trump’s tweet that threatened to raise the tariffs from 10% to 25% on additional USD 200 billion worth of the Chinese imports from this Friday.
