S&P 500: Futures little changed after Hong Kong’s Lam to take up with WTO the US sanctions issue

Speaking a week after Washington imposed sanctions on senior Hong Kong (HK) and Chinese officials, HK Leader Carrie Lam said that she will take up with World Trade Organization (WTO) the issue of the US sanctions.

Despite the inconvenience in personal affairs, there’s nothing with sanction she will take to heart, Lam added.

Market reaction

S&P 500 futures tread water around 3,380 after reaching half-yearly highs above 3,385 a day before.

AUD/USD keeps its range below weekly highs of 0.7229 amid broad dollar weakness and the cautious market mood.
