US: Justice Department indicts 12 Russian spies for conspiring to interfere with 2016 election

Rod J. Rosenstein, the Deputy Attorney General, on Friday announced that 12 Russian intelligence officers who are accused of hacking the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton presidential campaign were indicted.

“The indictment charges 12 Russian military officers by name with conspiring to interfere with the 2016 presidential election,” Rosenstein said during a news conference, as reported by Reuters.

UD President Donald Trump is scheduled to have a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.
