US raises tariffs on Chinese imports from 10% to 25%, effective May 10

According to a notice posted to the Federal Register on Wednesday, the United States will raise the tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports from 10% to 25% effective Friday, May 10.  

“The  USTR will establish a process for individuals to seek exclusions for certain products from additional tariffs,” the notice read, as reported by Reuters.
