Forex Daily Outlook – October 14 2011

Prelim UoM Consumer Sentiment in the US and CPI in Europe are the major events this day. Here is an outlook on the market-movers awaiting us.

 Group of Twenty (G20) Meetings (Day 1) influent the worldwide policy-making body that is operating at the maximum level and can affect the money markets.

In the US, Prelim University of Michigan (UoM) Consumer Sentiment, Survey (500 consumers) to rate present & upcoming financial conditions; rise from 59.4on September to 60.2 now. And the Prelim UoM Inflation Expectations is expected to remain 3.3%.

Later in the US, Retail Sales More in the US, key consumer spending instrument that accounts for the overall economic activity, is due to rise up to 0.5% from September, while the Core Retail Sales (not including automobiles) is expected to rise by 0.1% up to 0.2% this month.

Later on in the US, Import Prices, the change in the services purchased nationally prices of imported goods, is about to rise to -0.3% from -0.4% on September.

Finally in the US, Business Inventories, value of inventory manufacturers goods, due to remain 0.4% similar to the previous month.

In Canada, Manufacturing Sales, measures the total value of manufacturer’s sales, reduce from 2.7% down to 0.5% is predicted this month.

In Europe, Consumer Price Index (CPI), the Change in the goods and services consumers price, 0.3% with no change from the previous month is expected. Meanwhile the Core CPI (without energy, food, alcohol, and tobacco) is due to rise up to 1.5% now.

Later in Europe, Trade Balance is expected to rise up to -1.1B.

In Switzerland, Producer Price Index (PPI); the change in the manufacturer’s goods and raw materials, a rise from -1.2%in September up to 0.2% this month is forecasted.
