Nearly two months have passed since the momentum decision by Brits to leave the EU. So far, markets and policymakers had to rely on various consumer and business surveys. We finally get some “hard data”, what people did. After the inflation report and some partially up-to-date employment figures, the retail sales report will be the star of the week. The publication finds the pound close to the lows, already hit by the BOE’s comprehensive stimulus package. Will it fall to lower ground?
