USD: When To Expect The Next Wave Of Risk-Off Mode? – Nomura

Here is their view, courtesy of eFXdata:

Nomura Research discusses the equity sentiment and notes that  a key reason why risk-off mode is not gaining traction is the historical pattern of ebbing and flowing in sentiment. Nomura expects the next wave of risk-off mode to start around September 2nd.

“Investor sentiment is also ebbing and flowing. If historical patterns in sentiment are anything to go by, we think sentiment is at risk of heading lower through around 2 September.

That said, our impression is that it is hard to get a good read on the direction of sentiment, as there seems to be just as little incoming negative news as positive news,”Nomura notes.
