Top 10 Forex Blogs

Here’s a list of my top 10 forex blogs. I follow these blogs via my RSS reader on a regular basis, and I find them interesting and very informative. I think they should be on every forex trader’s feed. Last updated on November 17th 2009

So, here are my top 10 forex blogs:

  1. FXPath: Good technical analysis by forex expert James Chen. He’s also the author of the book: Essentials of Foreign Exchange Trading.
  2. Forex Blog: Adam Kritzer writes technical and fundamental analysis about the forex market. He has a special interest on China’s growing role in currency markets.
  3. Forex Magnates: Michael Greenberg brings up to date news about the forex industry with a very clever analysis.
  4. Kathy Lien - Head of currency research at Global Forex Trading (GFT). She provides interesting technical and fundamental analysis, forex signals and strategies.
  5. Market Skeptics: Eric deCarbonnel writes his interesting insights about macro-economics. They’re somewhat gloomy…
  6. The Forex Articles: James W. speaks his mind regarding forex strategies, forex trading ideas and more.
  7. Currency Thoughts: Larry Greenberg, a veteran currency economist brings forex news from many places all over the world, and in-depth analysis of current events.
  8. Trading U – Chicago Blog: Jay Norris writes about psychological effects of forex trading, trading patterns, technical analysis and much more.
  9. Macro Man: Though not always related to forex, Macro man sees the big picutre in his unique style, has interesting insights and makes me laugh.
  10. Winners Edge Trading: Last but not least, Casey Stubbs at Winners Edge Trading, with a special focus on one of the most popular currency pairs: EUR/USD.

Important notes:

  • Only blogs are in this list. While there are lots of definitions for blogs, and there’s a fine line between a blog or a site, I stick with two definitions: chronologically ordered in reverse (last post first), and the option to comment. There are lots of good forex sites out there. I listed here only blogs.
  • I listed here only blogs that are to my liking.
  • No one paid me for this including him in this list
  • The order in the list doesn’t represent an internal ranking.

I occasionally feature these blogs on my Forex Links for the Weekend posts. This list was composed after Casey Stubbs made a similar list, which I am honored to be part of.

I hope you like them as well. Through Casey’s list, I’m getting to know new blogs. Enjoy! Is there any other forex blog that you recommend?

I hope you like my blog as well :) You’re welcome to subscribe via email or by RSS.

Sorry but hands-down PipHut is the best forex site I’ve found out there, blog or site – and I’m not even a part of the site!

Post/signal once a day and each post gets 100+ comments so the discussion is lively among all the other traders which is great for a beginner like me.

And Mark, the founder, is very active and helpful as well.

CFTC Proposal – Letter to the FXCD from Jeff Langin

    February 4, 2010

    Foreign Exchange Dealers Coalition (FXDC)

Re: CFTC Proposed Retail Forex Regulatory Changes

    To Whom It May Concern.

My letter to you addresses both your concerns as well as the concerns of the CFTC.

I have read the complete script of the CFTF proposal and find a distinct lack of positive direction within its contents.

Clearly, investor protection and integrity in the Forex Industry is of utmost concern to all of us.

The CFTC has stated the need to protect Forex investors and has complained of the numerous occasions in which fraudulent actions by unscrupulous/unregulated brokers have caused massive losses by retail traders.

We all favor a cleaner industry but as it stands the good intentions of the CFTC proposal, rather than making the Forex less hazardous, would likely cause irreparable harm.

As you are aware, the first rule of risk in the Forex market is that a trader should never trade with any more capital than he/she can afford to lose. Contrary to its objectives, the principle flaw of the CFTC 1:10 leverage proposal is that of seeking to ward off risk by blatantly disregarding the industry’s first rule of risk.

I live in Canada. I’m a Canadian by birth and as such I have little to gain or lose as a trader by the CFTC proposal. However, I also have many friend and colleague traders who are Americans. Many of them look to me for leadership regardless of their citizenship or mine.

What is the answer to the CFTC proposal? Where is the solution that will help the CFTC, Brokers/Dealers and Investors alike?

I respectfully suggest the answer may be closer than you think. In fact the answer may be right next door to you, in Canada. Please consider in your thinking that Canada has an organization called IIROC (Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada). IIROC is a model which you can use to counter the CFTC proposal and stave off what could be a catastrophe in the making!

I urge you to read about IIROC and Forex regulations in Canada and/or Contact Mr. Bob Wong, Vice President of MF Global Canada at 1-800-268-9294.

    Sincerely,

    Jeff Langin
    Forex Trader and Educator

    Hi Yohay,

    Interesting list.
I may not have the time to read all the blogs. That may sound silly but I spend some time practising and trading.
Can you tell me which of those blogs actually gives you trades they predict and which in your experience come right most times?

    Thanks,
    Rick
