Ripple among six blockchain companies named in Forbes’ Fintech 50

Ripple is one of the six blockchain companies named in the Forbes’ Fintech 50. The other companies named are Axoni, Bitfury, Circle, Coinbase, and Gemini. The report points out that these six will probably form alliances to help build better solutions for their clients. This will help them to better compete against established, mainstream finance players.

Regarding Ripple, Forbes said:

“Its blockchain based global settlements network aims to replace SWIFT, the interbank messaging platform that has long connected nearly every bank in the world. Ripple has also launched a service that lets companies make cross-border payments in XRP, the cryptocurrency created by its founders, which was recently second to Bitcoin in value.”
