Breaking News: South Korea’s Bithumb claims more than $31 million worth of coins has been stolen

According to Yonhap, one of South Korea’s major cryptocurrency exchanges, Bithumb, has been hacked on Tuesday night.

In a statement released by the company, Bithumb states that a group of hackers stole about 35 billion won (USD$31.5 million) worth of coins.

After the headlines crossed the wires, Bitcoin plummeted across the board and it’s now changing hands around $6594, down -2.12% on the day.
