Cryptocurrency market overview: Top 3 coins remain bullish. Most of the other altcoins experience a bearish Wednesday

  • Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple bulls had enough momentum to eke out the bears this Wednesday.
  • Tezos (XTZ) enjoyed another great day as its price went up by 8.07% to $1.24.

Despite a charge by the bears, the bulls managed to keep Bitcoin’s price above $5,200. While Ethereum and Ripple remained bullish, the majority of the other major altcoins experienced a bearish Wednesday.  

Top three coins price overview

  • Bitcoin went up from $5,200 to $5,230 as the bulls eked out bears this Wednesday. On the upside, BTC/USD sees immediate resistance $5,282. If bulls can breach past that resistance level, then BTC/USD can grow till $5,360 before meeting the next resistance level.
  • Ethereum went up slightly from $167 to $168 this Wednesday. Immediate resistance levels lie at $170 and $173.50. On the downside, Ethereum sees support levels at $161.50 and $156.
  • Ripple went up from $0.326 to $0.338. The bulls will need to negotiate immediate resistance at $0.34. If they can gather enough momentum to breach past that level, then they may re-test the $0.37 resistance level which had thwarted Ripple bulls earlier.

Biggest movers and losers (among the top 20 coins)

  • Tezos (XTZ) enjoyed another great day as its price went up by 8.07% to $1.24.
  • Maker (MKR) went up by 4% and is priced at $656.44.
  • Among the top 20 coins, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) was the biggest loser as they lost 2.5% of their value. The BCH market is consolidating following recent gains.
