Bitcoin Cash network has been experiencing a strong growth of mining activity that comes from an unknown miner that signs his or her Coinbase transactions as Satoshi Nakamoto.
The experts believe that this mysterious miner is in fact a group of Bitcoin SV supporters that try to capitalize on the Bitcoin SV price decrease by dumping mined BCH for BSV. These actions will result in Bitcoin Cash price collapse and support its rival.
Another theory goes that those miners try to launch reorganization attack to discredit Bitcoin Cash network. Recently Bitcoin SV network experienced this type of attack that was caused by excessively large blocks.
Also, experts believe that Bitcoin Cash supporters might have increased their computing power to secure a victory in the so-called hash wars.
It is worth noting, that the share of unidentified miners on Bitcoin Cash blockchain jumped to 37.1%. Meanwhile, BCH/USD has gained over 13% of its value in recent 24 hours, however, the coin is still 5% lower on a week-on-week basis. The coin topped at $277.27 during early Asian hours and retraced to $266.7 by the time of writing.
